Welcome to the Kingfisher Class Webpage! If you are self-isolating / social distancing and learning from home, please look at the Kingfisher Class Home Learning Information document in the first instance, for a brief overview of what we’re learning about in class this term and how you can join in from home. Make sure you set aside some time each day to keep on top of your learning.
The other buttons provide links to resources which parents can use with children at home. There are lots of websites, online games and free printables to support your learning. You should have brought home a Home Learning exercise book you can use, but if you didn’t get one you can either collect from the school office or find your own. Remember to keep your work at home of the same standard we’d expect in school. Give each page a date and title, and remember to work neatly.
We will be using this webpage to share information and resources regularly, so do check it regularly.
And finally, there are some tips and websites to help you stay active while you’re at home. Remember that physical activity is still really important, to help you keep fit and healthy!
As well as getting involved in designing and participating in Powell Corderoy’s Sports Day 2020, why not have a go at the Virtual Surrey School Games (see links and documents below). The first challenge is a fitness challenge that will last for 10 days. You can let me know how you have got on via your class teacher, and I’ll compile a chart to show which class has got involved the most. As well as improving your scores, I’ll be looking to see who has been showing the School Games values of Determination, Self Belief, Passion, Respect, Teamwork and Honesty. You can also with your parents permission enter via the Active Surrey website (deadline 14th June). I hope you have fun with all these activities and I look forward to hearing how you have got on.
