Powell Corderoy was last inspected in December 2016. We were thrilled with the inspection and delighted that the progress and commitment of all stakeholders was recognised. All five OFSTED areas have been judged as Good (Effectiveness of Leadership and Management, Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment, Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare, Outcomes for Pupils, Early Years Provision). We now have our sights set on achieving Outstanding the next time OFSTED visit!
The OFSTED report and reports from monitoring visits can be downloaded here.
If you have a child at the school and would like to contribute your views of the school to our next OFSTED inspection, please visit OFSTED’s Parent View by clicking the link below. We welcome all feedback and use it to further develop our school.
SATs tests are national assessments carried out at the end of each Key Stage for all children. In primary school, children take SATs in Years 2 and 6.
In 2018, both Years 2 and 6 outperformed the National Average in every area, and a significant proportion of the children reached the challenging ‘Greater Depth’ standard – in fact, the majority of children achieved Greater Depth in Year 6 reading, which we are especially proud of.
The results of our most recent SATs assessments can be found via this link:
School Evaluation and Development Plan
We are passionate about providing the very best educational experiences we can for our children. We are constantly thinking about how we can do things better and improve what we offer. Our School Development Plan, informed by OFSTED, parents, children and the wider Powell Community, details the progress we aim to make in the coming academic year.
