Inclusion

We are an inclusive school and welcome pupils from all backgrounds and of all abilities. We believe it is important that our children grown up with a mix of interesting people around them, who they have opportunities to learn with and from. We actively promote the values of tolerance, acceptance, understanding and respect, and work hard to make sure that all of our children have the same opportunities and access to learning.

Miss Mitchell, our Inclusion Leader, supports and works with different groups such as children with exceptional gifts or talents, children with special educational needs, children learning English as a second language and  children from different ethnic backgrounds or from disadvantaged backgrounds. Miss Mitchell works closely with parents, teachers and teaching assistants to discuss each child’s individual needs, monitor their progress and together decide how we can best support their learning in school.
