Friends of Powell Corderoy has asked the School Council to run its annual stall at the Christmas Fair on 5th December. Mr Tree asked the School Council for ideas for what the stall could be. Suggestions included guess the Santa, match the teacher and the present and a Secret Santa. The winning suggestion was ‘Hoop a Prize’
Mrs McLaughlin has asked the School Council to consider new ways in which House Point leaves could be awarded. The School Council voted on a new system which will give the three houses with most points each week at least 1 leaf.
e.g. Winning house = 3 leaves
House in 2nd place = 2 leaves
House in 3rd place = 1 leaf
As next month’s value is appreciation, the School Council discussed different ways we could appreciate the work that different people do around school. The School Council decided to award certificates, based on the Learning Charter in celebration assembly each week to a member of staff.
Mrs Bull was chosen as the first candidate for perseverance in helping children across year groups in the school.
